Beets: Brain, Heart & Lung Plus

There’s a lot of talk today about nitric oxide and its importance to our health.  So, I thought I would discuss this so that you can decide on whether this is something you need to address sooner or later.

Nitric Oxide is a chemical that is located all throughout the body, that can help in a variety of ways. It can help carry brain waves through the nerve cells in the brain and boost metabolism.  In the proper amounts it can stop muscles and tissues from becoming inflamed, as well as regulate blood pressure and blood sugar levels. It helps blood vessels dilate to promote proper blood flow and may provide various health benefits, including improved exercise performance, lower blood pressure and better brain function

Nitric oxide is found in fruits and vegetables, such as apples, oranges, spinach, and beets but beets are a great source.

Beets also contain several other vitamins and minerals which can help strengthen the body. Beets can be eaten when trying to lose weight and diet properly. Beets can help the heart and lungs grow over time.

For several years, studies and research have been conducted on beets to determine what causes it to be so effective at keeping the body fit and healthy.

They also contain methyl groups, which are special chemicals that can greatly lower the estrogen levels in the body thereby allowing testosterone to flow freely through the body, increasing weight loss and muscle growth. This is why beets are often enjoyed by athletes and other people who perform physically demanding activities, as beets can help their muscles develop and remain strong.

Children, especially at a young age, need healthy foods and beverages to help their bodies grow and develop healthily. Beets can provide the perfect chemicals and vitamins that children will need to develop, and its abundance of nitric oxide can keep their bodies functioning at their peak.

Beets can also help keep elderly consumers strong as well. As people age, their bodies lose the vast amounts of nitric oxide that they once had, leading to weakened bones, muscles, and tissues.

Beets can be enjoyed in the raw or as a soup or sauce. So, choose the way you like it and reap the benefits of this great fruit. Next we will look at arrugula as it is high in nitric oxides as well.
